If you are grieving the loss of a child, no matter how old the child is or how long ago the child passed, we invite you to attend this retreat.
We will focus on the spirituality of the grieving process to help you as you grieve the loss of your child.
This one-day retreat, offered by the Archdiocese of Washington Office of Family Life and the Emmaus Ministry, will give you the opportunity to be with others who have also lost a child.
The retreat will take place from 9:30am - 7:00pm at St. John Neumann Parish, 9000 Warfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882
Saturday will be a very special time for you to focus on your specific spiritual journey in grieving the loss of your child's earthly presence. The day will consist of communal prayer, talks, time for parents to gather in small groups, letter writing, two-by-two walk, Sunday vigil Mass as well as lunch and dinner. While we have a general schedule of events for the program, please know that you will not be required to attend any of the activities, and you will not be forced to share any information you are not comfortable sharing. Many people participate by listening.
